A missile is fired for a maximum range with an initial velocity of 20 m/s, the range of a missile is

[NEET-2011]

a. 40m      b. 50m     c. 60m    d. 20m

PHYSICS WITH AKSHAY GOLE

The range of a projectile can be given as

Where,

'u' is a velocity of projection

The maximum  range can be achieve when the angle of projection will be 45 degrees.

Also,

sin (2×45) = sin 90= 1

Therefore, above equation  becomes,

Putting  values we get,

i.e. the range of the missile will be 40 m

In a potentiometer circuit, a cell of EMF 1.5 V gives a balance point at 36 cm length of wire. If another cell of EMF 2.5 V replaces the first cell, then at what length of the wire, does the balance point occur?
