THE BREWSTER’S ANGLE IB FOR AN INTERFACE SHOULD BE

(a) 0° < ib <30°

(b) 30° < ib <45°

(c) 45° < ib <90°

(d) ib = 90°

PHYSICS WITH AKSHAY GOLE

Brewster’s law:

when unpolarized light falls on an interface, the reflected light is completely polarized if the angle of incidence is a specific angle called the Brewster's angle.

Brewster's law is a statement that says that, the refractive index of the material is equal to the tangent of Brewster’s angle (polarizing angle)

 According to the Brewster’s law

\[\mu =\tan i_{b}\]

\[1<\mu <\infty\]

\[1<\tan i_{b} <\infty\]
\[\tan^{-1}1<i_{b}<\tan^{-1}\infty\]
\[45^{o}<i_{b}<90^{o}\]

Answer: Option ‘C’

In a potentiometer circuit, a cell of EMF 1.5 V gives a balance point at 36 cm length of wire. If another cell of EMF 2.5 V replaces the first cell, then at what length of the wire, does the balance point occur?
