A screw gauge has least count of 0.01 mm and there are 50 divisions in its circular scale. The pitch of the screw gauge is :

(A) 0.01 mm       (2) 0.25 mm        (3) 0.5 mm         (4) 1.0 mm


A micrometer screw gauge, is a device which is used measure the dimensions of components more accurately. 





In case of micrometer screw gauge the least (L.C.) is given by 

\[Least count=\frac{Pitch}{Number of divisions on circular scale}\]

\[Pitch=(Least count)*(Number of divisions on circular scale)\]

\[Pitch=(0.01 mm)*(50)\]

\[Pitch=0.5 mm\]
