 Given: (R = 8.3 Jmol–1K–1)

(a)    0.5 kg/m3       (b)0.2 kg/ m3

(c)0.1 kg/ m3               (d)0.02 kg/ m3

A cylinder contains hydrogen gas at pressure of 249 kPa and temperature 27°C. Its density is

According to ideal gas equation (for 1 mole of gas)

\[PV=RT\]

As,

\[\rho =\frac{M}{V}\]

\[\rho =\frac{M}{V}\]
\[\rho =\frac{M}{V}\]
Therefore, ideal gas equation becomes
\[P\frac{M}{\rho}=RT\]
\[PM=\rho RT\]
\[\rho=\frac{PM}{RT}\]
\[\rho=\frac{(249*10^{3})*(2*10^{-3})}{8.3*300}\]
\[\rho\approx 0.2 kgm^{-3}\]

In a potentiometer circuit, a cell of EMF 1.5 V gives a balance point at 36 cm length of wire. If another cell of EMF 2.5 V replaces the first cell, then at what length of the wire, does the balance point occur?
